TTA's Cycle Club Ride - Saturday, May 12th

Updated: Nov 17, 2020

TTA's Cycle Club's first ride of Season 2018 will be at Leslie Spit on Saturday, May 12th. Your cycle coordinator, Gladstone has provided the following details.

Recommended for first time riders or members who have not been out riding for sometime.

An easy, flat and level trail ride along the lake shore to the Light House, on top of a little hill with a postcard view of downtown Toronto. We will then retrace our route and explore the new parks between the Distillery and the Don River. (We had hoped to do this last year, but the area was messy due to construction. Now it's open.)

At 1:30 pm we will meet in the parking lot at the bottom of Cherry Street which is at the east side of Lake Ontario. If the lot is full you can go back to Uwin Avenue (about 300 meters northeast), park and then cycle back to the meeting place.

(To get there if you come from the east end, go on Lakeshore Blvd., then turn south on Leslie, continue on Leslie for about 500m and turn right on Unwin. Follow Unwin where it intersects with Cherry St., then turn left towards the lake and the parking lot.)

Bring along your bike, helmet and accessories, water and snacks to keep you happy, and dress to suit weather conditions.

There's a TTA fee of $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family and you are asked to sign a waiver of liability before starting.

An outdoor event for members, family and friends, with lots of fun and it's good for you.
