Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year 2023 falls on Sunday, January 22nd, and celebrations culminate with the Lantern Festival on February 5th, 2023.

Celebrations last up to 16 days, but only the first 7 days are considered a public holiday (January 22nd–January 29th, 2023).
​
Chinese New Year marks the transition between zodiac signs: 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit.

Jamaican Fish Fry Night
TTA will be having its first dine-in event since 2020, on Saturday, April 1st, 2023. We are still being careful, so the capacity limit is set at 150 guests.
Take-out will also be offered if you are not ready to mingle. The take-out will be $25 for delicious fried fish, rice and peas, festival, and coleslaw.
The dine-in will cost $35 for the same menu, with the addition of pop, desserts, entertainment and social dancing. There will be an extra charge of $3 if you prefer stew fish instead of fry fish. You can also order Easter buns for $12 each.

The President's Inaugural Gala will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Zunyan Fine Dining & Banquet to welcome the incoming president and committee.

Top of the Pops
Father's Day Dinner/Dance
Celebrate Father's Day with the men in your life - the ones who supported you, gave you unconditional love, protected you. Fathers, husbands, super heroes, welcome to TTA's Top of the Pops Father's Day dinner and dance event to be held on Saturday, June 17th.
​
This will be our first full event since 2020, and we will have a swinging time as the entertainment features the Top 10 of the pop charts. The finger licking dinner will feature fricasee chicken, jerk pork, rice and peas, coleslaw, plantain and dessert. A donation of $35 will guarantee you an evening of enjoyment.

Annual Family Summerfest
Join us for a day of FUN! and the crowning of Miss Summerfest 2023! Our Annual TTA Family Summerfest takes place on Sunday, August 6th at the Markham Museum Grounds.

There will be exciting games for all ages, live bandstand, entertainment and many more fun attractions. Enjoy delicious food such as: BBQ jerk chicken with rice & peas, chicken roti, jerk pork dinner, hamburgers, hotdogs, Jamaican patties, and our famous salt fish fritters. PLUS: candy floss, freezies and much more.

Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner/Dance
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival celebrated by ethnic Chinese and Vietnamese people. The festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with full moon at night, corresponding to late September to early October of the Gregorian calendar with full moon at night.
​
Mainland China listed the festival as an "intangible cultural heritage" in 2006 and a public holiday in 2008. Due to China's influence, Mid-Autumn Festival is also celebrated in other parts of Asia. Mooncakes have also appeared in western countries as a form of delicacy.

The Hakka Heritage and Culture Day is an annual event that began in 2014 to keep alive our unique Hakka identity and to foster the interest of future generations.
There are cooking demonstrations, samples to taste, home-cooked food to buy, calligraphy lessons, Chinese painting demonstrations, entertainment can be in the form of music from the Chinese Harp/Guzhang or a performance of a typical Chinese dance.
A pictorial chronicle of the Hakka migration or the tracing of a family tree brings to life the history of the Hakkas.

Christmas Party
Brrr - it's cold outside and frost is in the air. But forget about that as you celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with family and friends at Tsung Tsin's Christmas Party on Saturday, December 9.
You will feel truly warm in your heart as the season is a state of mind of peace and goodwill.

Roast chicken, baked ham, salad, rice and peas, macaroni and cheese and lots of desserts are on the menu. Enjoy a Christmas Musical featuring the TTA Funtime Singers and The Ukes. Social dancing with your favourite DJ and door prizes will round out the evening.
