The upcoming Tuesday matinee on Sept. 19th, "Mao's Last Dancer" is a potpourri of suspense, romance, politics, and beautiful ballet moves. A tear jerker, the autobiographical memoir of Li Cunxin, a world renowned ballet dancer "will stir your soul". As an 11 year old boy, he was taken from his family in rural China to train In Beijing, and eventually as a young cultural student, he defected to the United States.
Curtains will open at 1 p.m. and the admission price of $6 per person includes light snacks and beverages.
