Our Hakka Heritage & Culture Day on Sunday, November 16th is a day to learn more about traditions, food, special customs and rituals that make up our culture - a way of doing something that can be passed down from one generation to another.

From noon - 5 p.m. there will be lopet ban, sow bow, and a Hakka lunch for you to eat while you listen to stories of how the Hakka culture has been kept alive, and an informative talk about the Ling Long porcelain. Learn how to make a zodiac calendar and how to write your Chinese name.  There will even be a jade booth, and co-author and illustrator Ashton Louie will tell you how she helped to write a children's book about the Tam Kung Temple, Canada's oldest Hakka Temple.
Admission is free and lunch will cost $12. Sow Bow and Lopet Ban can be purchased either individually or in certain amounts.
Lopet ban can be pre-ordered from Harold:Â 416-831-5626 (10 for $25)
